KittycatS - Those Fluffy Thingies!!

First of all, I want to apologize to Callie Cline for being a bit lazy and posting only now. Anyway i feel the urge to say thank you to EVERYONE of the staff for making possible such a wonderful creation. Yesterday, after having the honour some days ago, to be able to go to the preview, and hold a adult cat that Callie gave me, as soon as the shop officialy opened I ran to it to get my first 4 baby kittens.

What can i say...almost nothing....to say the truth i am without words! The quality in detail, the animations, the accessories and the food that accompanies these cute little creatures is astonishing and underlines the great effort and attention put in this job.

But let's show you what i'm talking about with some pics.....

This is what you will find in front of you at the store entrance, and that in a few seconds will warmen up you heart and increase your heart rate :)

These are the Kittypacks, that differ one from the other, for the number of kittens contained, the kittens gender, amount of weekly food, amount of vitamins and milk, and price that ranges from 298L to a maximum of 4500L.

Here you can see part of the Accessories department of the shop!

And this is the part i like best of all the store...The Food Supermarket, isn'it damn cute?

As you can see all this definitely adds them in one of the future top list placements of breedable animals in SL, and I would bet anything that it will be a huge and countinous developing phenomenon. I don't know what these people did to these cats but, i can swear to you that as soon as one is born your heart will have a jump and you will also have loads of fun with them. Seeing them lick their paws, come up to you and sit at your feet, run around playing, come and paw at you, scratch the floor, sit on your shoulder in various positions, or get sick is gonna for sure be an experience to remember for lots of time.

Don't forget that KittycatS has a very cute sim surrounding the shop with plenty of spots to discover, so remember to wander around a bit when you get there.

MLCC - HOT RODS

I've always been fond of vehicles, and my favorites are cars, military, and airplanes.
There are many kinds of these shops in SL , but I am addicted to one in particular and that's MLCC.
Motor Loon's Custom Cycles is a motorcycle shop specialized in selling bikes and mostly choppers, made with detail, care and attention to every small part going from the chassis to the sounds. I have the honour to personally own two bikes from this shop, a MLCC Soverign anda Supreme Springer. Useless telling you then that once in a while I hop back at the shop to check if there is anything new and last time I went i was like...O M G! There are 3 new creations, but they're not bikes....they're hotrods! I am so happy to have recieved one of the latest hotrods to share with you!

The model I recieved is called F - 1 a classic hotrod pickup truck.

Based on the 1950 Ford F-1, a half ton pickup truck first introduced in '48 and featured a fancy modern one-piece windshield and integrated headlights. Options were the "See-Clear" windshield washer (operated by foot plunger), passenger side windshield wiper & sun visor, and passenger side taillight. The F-1 truck was also available with additional chrome and two horns as an option.

For this hotrod, the old flathead was ripped out and replaced with a beefy fuel injected bigblock - with supercharger and nitrous. Complete transmission replacement with a modern racing 5-speed.
Custom-made sidepipe exhaust system and 15" alloy rims with wide tires along with a full leather interior.

Apart from the usual driver and passenger seats, there is also the possibilty for a third person to sit in the back of the truck.

The truck has a multi option menu that enables you to the body paint colors, gloss effects, tires, turn on/off music, set the configuration and use the I-paint™function.
I-paint™ will allow you do add your own custom paints to this car - despite it being a no-mod item.
Once you access the I-paint™ menu, all the parts of the car that can be painted will automatically display a hovertext with the parts name, this means it's active and ready to receive custom textures.
You'll find the templates in the notecard you recieve, which you can copy to your inventory - save to hard drive - and modify or use as bases for your own graphics using Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Gimp or similar graphics programs. Once you have uploaded the new texture, you can "drag" into onto the part you wish to apply it on.

So if you want to have some fun, go and grab one now but be sure to check out the other 2 hotrods cause they are just as cool as this one.

Missing In Action!

Hi everybody. I know it's a while I haven't been blogging, but what can I say...2011 hasn't started the way I expected for sure. First of all I am stuck in bed with an awful flu. I only have the strength to get up to eat something, then I go back to bed or just relax on the couch looking for hours at tv. I am taking meds at the moment but my temperature doesn't go lower than 37. 5 ( 99. 5 ) actually it jumps up to 38. 5 ( 101. 3 ) in the evening causing me terrible headaches, so I can stay in front of the pc just for short periods of time.

But the biggest problem is for sure another one. A week ago I started noticing that all the things I looked at with my right eye had like a white shadow over them. At first I didn't give the situation a lot of attention cause I thought it could be due to fatigue, but one day covering my left eye I was shocked. I noticed that all the things i was looking at with my right eye had a dark shadow over them. I must tell you in 30 years of life i have never had sight problems at all. So the question is what the hell is wrong? As soon as I could I went to hospital and had a emergency room checkup. What the doctor told me is that nothing is wrong with my eye, there is just a slight form of astigmatism, and ordered me a pair of glasses. Ok...seems all settled out right? No way! I still see this white shadow even with my glasses on. So I will be going to a head optician asap to check things out. In the meanwhile the blog will be left on it's own, since health is much more important than blogging.

As soon as I get in shape, I will let you know :)

I have been staying a bit away from blogging lately, but there is a good reason to it.

1) I am going to specific lessons for Computer Graphics and Web Design. This leaves me with a little less time to blog, since i have to exercise and study almost everday.

2) I have recently decided to move the blog's office to another location cause I needed more prims for the stuff I have to rezz, so...having to dismantle everything, look for a new place, re-rezz everything and put things in place wasn't that quick at all.

3) Since me and Clarimonde were having a hard time following almost everything regarding the blogging aspect, after Clarimonde left, I decided to add some new elements to the blog staff.

I have always had a kind of hidden love for tattoos, and probably because I love them so much, wishing I could have one in reallife makes me wear thousands in Secondlife. I was almost going to faint yesterday when I got the invite to the Blogger Preview Gala that announces the official opening of EUPHORIA. ( Thanks Again Girls...Luv Ya! ) A sim that has all Second Life’s best brands and their stores within one location, that took 6 months to make and is ready to slap you in the face with the most dramatic change in the everyday normal shopping experience of Second Life.

EUPHORIA

But why is shopping so unique at Euphoria? What is it that makes the real difference?
The real difference in shopping at Euphoria is that you can spend with benefits, this means that only at Euphoria, you get to purchase items from your favourite brand at a discount!

1) Earn 10% reward points for each purchase
2) Enjoy rebates + reward points

Let me give you a few more explanations so you can get the best out of your Euphoria shopping experience.

When you are in a shop on the sim, if you click the item you would like to buy, your name will show up above the item and you will get a menu with the following options :

BUY AS GIFT
Buy something for someone special hassle free.

REDELIVER
Due to lag, failed transactions/object deliveries are inevitable. With this option, customers can click on any vendors at Euphoria to have their last purchase redelivered.

The system records the last 12 transactions made at Euphoria sim wide. As long as it is made within the vicinity of the sim, the system has the record regardless of brands.

Example:
You decide to shop at Baiastice Euphoria, realise that the item bought at Bax Coen Euphoria couple of days ago was not received. You can request for redelivery without leaving Baiastice by clicking on any vendor and a menu will present the names of the last 12 transactions made at Euphoria.

Shopping can't get any easier with such convenience!

REBATES
The system calculates and records the amount spent per avatar to qualify them rebates based on 3 different levels. This feature requires the customer to be subscribed to enjoy the 3 levels of rebates offered:

• Level 1 : L$20,000 - 3%
• Level 2 : L$50,000 - 10%
• Level 3 : L$100,000 - 15%

REWARD POINTS
Points can be earned from the very first purchase at a ratio of 1 Point : L$1.
For each purchase made at any of the brands at Euphoria, 10 points will be awarded.

Customers can either redeem their points for their next purchase by paying the difference upon deduction of points or accumulate their points for purchase at later time.

Example:
If you buy a L$500 dress, you earn L$50 (50 points).
You can decide to redeem the points to buy another item priced L$650 or you can click on the vendor and the dropdown menu shows the option of "Buy with Points". Click and the smart system will calculate the difference and present you with the new price to pay: L$600 (L$650 - L$50)

SUBSCRIBE
Increasing membership without occupying group slots. This feature is found on the menu by clicking on the vendor. Click to subscribe/unsubscribe.

JOIN GROUP
The traditional join group via link via "ctrl + alt".

I know it's been a while that I haven't been posting at all. But i have been very busy putting together a substitute of Clarimonde until she comes back, but in the end I have succeded! I have settled the issues after Clari's departure and now we are definitely ready to go!

After such a long time I'm going to talk to you about a shop called " GIZZA ".
Gizza was founded by Giz Seorn 7 months ago, she is a designer and professional photographer in real life since 15 years. The first time I walked in her shop I was caught from the variety of items which you can choose from. The shop is divided into two sectors female and male. But probably what caught my attention the most, was the detail she puts into her work and that captivating sexy look. The leopard pattern and the fucsia color match in a wild way with the snake skin of the pants, and the rest of the outfit that also includes a tribal tattoo. But this outfit also has a surprise...in the pocket of the jacket you also get a decorative I-pod that adds a sporty touch to the whole set.

Hello.

First of all i want to apologize to all the owners that have given us female items to blog and that we haven't blogged yet.

This is because of a major issue we are having. Infact i am making this post to inform you, that because of real-life work issues, Clarimonde Sabra will not be available to recieve female items to blog for the moment. She may be online once in a while, but i don't know when and how long, since she told me she probably could be offline until January. However she will try to blog the items that are still in stand-by when she will be on. In the meantime, to still be able to blog also female items, I will be using my female avatar SILVIA FERINA to fill in the gap. If you want your items to be blogged send them to her, i will be checking her on a daily basis and will be doing my best to keep up, even if i will be blogging by myself.

Today i'm going to tell you of a great event that is going on from the 8th to the 17th of October...The Jewelry Fair. The theme for Jewelry Fair 2010 is Beauty and the Beast. The story of Beauty and the Beast is a classic fairy tale, and it is interpreted in a very original and commercial way. I am going to show you many subjects and give you loads of info with the help of some pics that i created on my own, so you can use them to your best to have a wonderful experience.

The fair consists of four sims where you can explore the best designed jewelry and accessories in all of Second Life surrounded by the magic feeling and look of a 17th Century province. It is subdivided in the following way :

The Forest:
A winding path through trees and foliage, with gypsy wagons, tinkers’ carts, cabins and straw huts featuring fantasy, ethereal and eclectic style jewelry.

Beautiful Castle:
A majestic castle and grounds with formal, fancy and traditional jewelry.

The People’s Village:
Charming, old-world Bavarian style shops around a town square featuring casual style jewelry.

Beast’s Castle:
A vast, dark castle and grounds with gothic, occult and BDSM type jewelry.

The Shops

Here below you will find a short photographic list with a pic of the shop or stand, the shop's logo and one of it's products on sale, that i think you should have a look at. But don't forget to look at all of them, there are many more to see and believe me they are all worth seeing.

Auctions & Charity

Just after telling you of the sales subject, I could not forget to mention the Auction subject also.
Located in the center of the Beauty's or the Beast's Castle you will find an area dedicated to auctions for charity. The Auctioned items are in booths that are connected to a bid box. Since I just mentioned charity I have to by all means necessary, tell you of the Oxfam signs ( like the red one below ) you can see around the sims, placed in different shops and about what Oxfam is.

What is this Oxfam thing about?

Oxfam International is a confederation of 13 like-minded organizations working together and with partners and allies around the world to bring about lasting change.
The people in it work directly with communities and seek to influence the powerful to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them.
So in this case 100% of the proceeds from vendor entry fees, one of a kind auctions, paid sponsors, events/games during the fair are going to Oxfam. Many Jewelers are putting up special vendors to share 50% of the proceeds with Oxfam. You can get a little more info on Oxfam here.

The Jewelry Fair is not just a " See + Buy + Go Away " event. There is much more to it, that's because there are special events, classes and entertainment you would like to assist to.

When i was a kid i used to love looking at japanese toons on tv.

One of my favourites was " The Fist of The North Star ". The Fist of The North Star is a Japanesemanga series written by Buronson and drawn by Tetsuo Hara that was serialized from 1983 to 1988, spanning 245 chapters, which were initially collected in a 27-volume edition by Shueisha.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world that has been destroyed by a nuclear war, the story centers around a warrior named Kenshiro, the successor of a deadly martial art style known as Hokuto Shinken, which gives him the ability to kill most adversaries from within through the use of the human body's secret vital points, often resulting in a violent gory death. Kenshiro dedicates his life to fight against the various ravagers who threaten the lives of the weak and innocent, as well as other rival martial artists, including his own "brothers" from the same clan.

Plot of the Story
Near the end of the 20th century, a nuclear flame engulfed most of the Earth's surface, reducing most of the world into a vast desert wasteland. The survivors of mankind banded together in tribes in order to fight over the few supply of uncontaminated food and water still left in the world, with the strong often preying on the weak. Kenshiro, the successor of the assasination art known as Hokuto Shinken, wanders the wasteland after being separated from his fiancee by a rival martial artist. Accompanied by two young children, Bat and Lin, Ken becomes a savior to the weak and innocent from the various gangs threatening their survival. Throughout the course of his journey, Kenshiro encounters various formidable rivals and adversaries, ultimately culminating with Kenshiro's eldest adoptive brother Raoh an oppressive tyrant who challenges Ken for the right of the Hokuto Shinken succession.

GRAPHIC DIX PREFAB - AUTUMN HOUSE

Ladies and Gentlemen...

I have the great honour to be able to review the first prefab made from Graphic Dix Prefabs.
Probably many of you know Graphic Dix as a famous photographer in sl. Well...now he has added
to his photography works also a prefab building company. Today we are going to talk about
the first release from Graphic Dix Prefabs.

When i entered it, at first i noticed the care and the attention to every little detail the creator has put in his work and i must say it is very original and cozy at the same time. As he has told me, all textures are hand made and are only found on this home. The house has a 50 X 50 footprint and is 626 prims. It is modify and copy, equipped with a Rez Faux system, and it has 3 rooms and a spacious upper balcony. Included in the package you will also get a set of lamps and some garden tools and decoration. Personally i would recommend this prefab to anyone that wants a particular kind of house that has to be a level over the normally priced ones you see in SL. The house is pretty cheap if we consider the amount of days of work that have been put into it.

Nikolas Poliatevska: Hello Tsume and Daffee :)

Tsume Xiao: Good morning.
Daffee Vita: Hello.

Nikolas Poliatevska: So here we are, all set and ready for our first interview that will be posted on our blog. If it isn't a problem, i'm going to ask you a series of questions regarding your job and your creations.

Tsume Xiao: Not at all!

Nikolas Poliatevska: When did you guys start your activity in SL?

Tsume Xiao: He and I started the company almost 2 years ago. He was a builder who needed a scripter, and I was a scripter learning to make guns who needed a builder.

Nikolas Poliatevska: Where did you get an idea for a weapon shop?

Tsume Xiao: Well, Daffee was building a machine gun in the build zone of the Vae Victus, which was the Capital Ship and base of the SL military the Ordo imperialis,
and he needed a scripter while I was learning to script weapons, and needed some builds to script. We didnt like the fact the that only "good" performing and looking guns were over $L1000 and that the ones that were priced $L750 or lower looked or performed awfully.

Nikolas Poliatevska: how many hours of work does it take to make a good weapon more or less?

Tsume Xiao: It's not really hours, it's weeks. It all depends on the complexity of the weapon, and how much Daffee likes it! If he likes the weapon, he tends to focus on it more and builds faster. Of course the more script features a gun has, the longer it takes. When it comes to building the sounds are something I pride myself on. Very few companies make their own sounds, they just take them from video games. I hate that. Many video games are horribly inaccurate, so I make them myself.
I think my best sounds are in the M60, the BAR, and the STEN Mk.II

Nikolas Poliatevska: So for you how is the weapon industry going in sl?

Tsume Xiao: Its slowed down a bit, but we still sell weapons, even our older ones.

Nikolas Poliatevska: So Tsume since you build weapons, you must be also a combat roleplayer. What about combat roleplay, is very developed in sl or not?

Tsume Xiao: It depends. There are the Roleplay groups, and then the Military groups.Combat roleplay in roleplay groups will be less organized and uses meters,
it also tends to be a bit mroe free-for -all or small clans and groups.
The Military combat groups are much larger, more bureaucratic, and structured for example The Ordo Imperializ, Merczateers, Cthonic Syndicate, etc.

Nikolas Poliatevska: So it's better to be in a military group?

Tsume Xiao: Well, that depends too, some people like the structure.
Military groups also have more rules, provide you weapons and gear, but you need to follow rules and orders. You cant charge off and attack on your own.
Combat role play, if it stresses more "roleplay" in the text sense of the word, is more typing than shooting at times. If its not a "roleplay" and more just combat in uniform or as teams, then it is fairly unstructured, and goes sim to sim.
A Military group, you RP through Action. You salute, follow orders, work as a team, tactics, etc.
I am Biased to The Ordo imperialis. I have been a member for almost 4 years and
thats how I met Daffee.
The Military groups also form a comunity. For better or worse.

Nikolas Poliatevska: How many years is it you guys play secondlife?

Tsume Xiao: I have been playing secondlife for 4 years and a month
July 2nd, 2006 is when I joined and Daffee joined on September 25th 2007.
Its great fun with the group of friends I have made. I like to hang out, be social, fight with the guns I make, and this business also acts as a source of income.

Nikolas Poliatevska: So what you guys got in the magic hat for the future?

Tsume Xiao: Well the L85 and L86 and then we have a Neostead 2000 combat shotgun in the works. We have an H&K USP in the works, and.. some other stuff.

Nikolas Poliatevska: You get inspiration from modern weapons right?

Tsume Xiao: Most of our weapons are from the modern battlefield, but we also have some original creations as the Pulse Rifle we just released, the Tank, and the armored fighting vehicle.

Nikolas Poliatevska: Ok. Let's talk about the rifle we are going to post on the blog.

Tsume Xiao: This is the L85A2, and we also have the L86A2 on its way as well. The L85 has 6 different attachments and 7 optional colors, while the L86 has 7 different attachments and 7 colors that are: Olive drab, Tan, Black, Urban ACU Camo, Desert ACU Camo, Artic ACU Camo, and Shark. The L85 shares common commands with our guns for ease of use, pick up pretty much any Ironsight Armaments gun and you will know the commands.
They all perform differently though. Rate of fire, accuracy, magazine size, bullet size since it's all calibrated to reflect the real thing. I can tell you the L85 has a fire rate of 720 rounds per minute, a very accurate spread, and a 30 round magazine.

It has the optional SUSAT scope, and the optional L17A2 grenade launcher that are built in attachements you can change on the fly. On the top of the gun there is a handle with a button, click one button and it changes to the SUSAT scope, hit another button and it changed colors to have the Shark decal. The build of the weapon and its textures were done by Hugh Millar, the scripting and sounds were done by myself, and the animations are being done by Mark Karlfeldt. The L85 (the one Daffee is holding with the optional SUSAT and L17A2 grenade launcher) is 40 prims total. The L86 I am holding (With the optional drum and shark decal) is 35 prims.

    Details for the L85A2

   -Ironsights: Ironsights/Carryhandle
   -SUSAT: SUSAT x4 magnification optic
   -Suppressor: Sound Suppressor. Changes fire sounds.
    -L17A2: 40mm Underslung grenade launcher. Enables grenade firing.
    -Bayonet: Muzzle mounted bayonet. Increases melee range and changes
     melee sounds.
    -MagPul: Adds color matched MagPul magazine grip.

      Details for the L86A2

    -Ironsights: Ironsights/Carryhandle
    -SUSAT: SUSAT x4 magnification optic
    -ELCAN: SpecterOS3.4x machine gun optic. Also know as the M145 in the
         US and the C79 in Canada.
     -Suppressor: Sound Suppressor. Changes fire sounds.
     -STANAG: 30-round STANAG magazine. Does not toggle magpul.
     -Drum: Norinco MDG3 drum. 120-Round capacity.
     -MagPul: Adds color matched MagPul magazine grip.

Nikolas Poliatevska: Any other weapons to talk about?

Tsume Xiao: As for bombs and explosives, we have 3 weapons with underslung grenade launchers, one anti-tank missile launcher and our Combat HUD, which has 3 types of grenades, a proximity based landmine, and a C4 explosive charge.
The grenade types are the M61 Fragmentation grenade, M18 Smoke Grenade and CTS Model 7290 Flashbang. The M61 was used by the US military up untill... the Gulf Conflict, when they changed to the M67, it is known as the "lemon" due to its shape.

All the ordinance from the HUD is sculpted and low prim.It has a 5m fatality radius, just like the real thing, and the HUD allows it to be thrown a maximum of 40m, which is how far the average soldier can throw one. The M18 Smoke Grenade is still in active US Service it's a ver simple smoke emitting device.

Then there is the CTS Flashbang. You wont be able to see what it does unless you are in its range, it surrounds the target with a glowing white sphere they cant see out of and emits a loud noise (but not too loud or irritating to cause harm! Now I know an avatar tripped it and who.The HUD also features the Mk.2 Breaching Charge. It's based off a real SWAT door breaching charge. You can breach through up to 5m of material (the standard allowed in combat sims) and the breaching charge can be placed in or out of mouselook via a button or a command.I am a long time Member of a SL Military, and i develop weapons and technology for them so this is all on the same level as military spec of quality and lethality.

Lastly in the HUD munitions.

The C4. It is a remote-detonation explosive.
You can set a timer, or manually hit the detonation button. Like real C4, which can be lit onfire and still not blow up, the C4 will only detonate on command. Both the C4 and the Mine will do damage to Linden Damage System armored vehicles.

Nikolas Poliatevska: Is it compatible with DCS, CCS and other weapon systems?

Tsume Xiao: CCS and DCS work off of collisions, so yes, our weapons will do damage to them and work on that kind of system, however, since CCS and DCS do not like to share their developer kits or API's, I cannont have my weapons do "enhanced" damage, only a small hand full of companies actually can.

Nikolas Poliatevska: Do the people that purchase your weapons have a update included?

Tsume Xiao: I am always updating weapons. They all have free updates for life, and I am always sure to keep them in the best shape. If I find something that is improved in weapon performance in both combat and script, then I update it and send it out. We will even re-do models from time to time as well.

First of all i must confess i have a kind of fetish for latex, and so when i have to look for something particular i run straight to Jackie Grave's shop.
